President of International Red Cross Committee arrives in Ukraine

Peter Maurer Peter Maurer, president of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), arrived in Ukraine at the invitation of the Ukrainian President  Petro Poroshenko. The parties agreed on it in January during a meeting in Davos, Switzerland. Then Poroshenko called on Maurer to assist in facilitating the release of the Ukrainian hostages who are kept in Donbas, Crimea and in Russian prisons.
