Security Council rules to suspend freight transport across Donbas contact line

“Recognizing the sharp escalation of Russian aggression against Ukraine, the forcible seizure of Ukrainian enterprises located in the territories of separate districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, realizing the aggravation of threats to economic and energy security of Ukraine provoked by the conscious actions of terrorists, and considering that the Russian Federation at the state level began to accept ‘documents ‘ of the self-proclaimed republics, and with the aim of protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens of Ukraine and ensuring national security of Ukraine, the NSDC decided: to suspend the transportation of cargo across the contact line until paragraphs 1-2 of the Package of Measures for the Implementation of the Minsk Agreements as of February 12, 2015 are implemented, as well as until seized enterprises are returned to the jurisdiction of Ukraine” Turchynov said.
