The National Commission on Energy, Housing and Utilities Services Regulation suspended the decision to introduce fee for the distribution of gas. The relevant issue will be considered at the next meeting of the National Commission scheduled for April 10. The Commission will hold additional consultations with the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine regarding the expansion of subsidies for gas transportation and distribution to protect the public. On the eve the leaders of the parliamentary democratic opposition expressed categorical disagreement with the decision of the National Commission on Energy, Housing and Utilities Services Regulation to introduce monthly fee for the distribution of gas. Following this Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman stated the inadmissibility to increase fees for gas for the population. Then President Petro Poroshenkothe said of the need to suspend the decision on customer fee for the distribution of gas.
