The gas price for households from the next heating season will be calculated by the new formula.
This was dosclosed by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groisman during a press conference.
"In the current heating season, we see no reason to raise prices. In future, we are developing a new formula that will start to operate from the next heating season," said Groisman. He stressed that the price of gas would not depend on anyone's wishes , but on fluctuations in gas prices on international markets.
"In Ukraine, there has always been a debate around the price at which we will buy Russian gas, for more than 2 years we live without Russian gas, but I set the task to live without imported gas either," added Volodymyr Groisman. He expressed the conviction that, under the conditions of developing such a system, when Ukraine on its own will provide gas for itself , the price of gas will be significantly reduced.
"This will lead to a very substantial reduction in gas price forever, but this should have been done 10 years ago," said Groisman.
Recall, Ukraine, in accordance with the terms of cooperation with the IMF, should revise the price of gas for population if it deviates significantly from the import parity.
