The average price of medicines for which from April 1 a system of reimbursement was introduced, decreased by 20 - 50 percent. This was told by Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman.
As previously reported, from April 1, the country introduced a system by which patients who need medicines, including cardiovascular disease, diabetes of the second type and the asthma can receive them in pharmacies free of charge, and the cost of drugs to pharmacies will be reimbursed by the state. This initiative has led to lower prices for such drugs in other pharmacies that initially did not join the reimbursement system.
