Since launching of the "Affordable medicine", which started on April 1, more than 700 thousand Ukrainians benefited it . This was announced by Vice Prime Minister Pavlo Rozenko, who said that the necessary funds have been already transferred to the regions.
He stressed that the project is implemented not so easy because of opposition from physicians. Often doctors persuade patients not to take free medication, arguing that these drugs are of poor quality.
Vice Prime Minister assured that all medications realized through this Program are quality medicines and effective. Program "Affordable medicine" allows patients with cardiovascular disease,type II diabetes or asthma receive medications free or with a small surcharge.
