The announcement by the leader of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), Alexander Zakharchenko, of the creation of Malorossiya is his personal initiative, the Russian president's press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"The announcement Zakharchenko made this morning on the subject of Malorossiya is his personal initiative," Peskov told journalists on July 18."Moscow learnt about it from the media this morning," he said."We remain committed to the Minsk Agreements," the presidential spokesperson said.
At the same time Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksandr Turchynov is convinced that the representatives of the Russian leadership are the true authors of the intentions voiced by Zakharchenko and this "testifies to the desire of the Moscow" strategists" to resume again the advance of military aggression to the west, drawing new regions of Ukraine into bloody millstones.Is is more proof of Putin's aggressive plans and his maniacal reluctance to resolve issues in the east of Ukraine by peaceful means," Turchynov said on Facebook .
