The president of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will pay an official visit to Ukraine on Thursday and Friday, the presidential press service said.
"Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko will pay an official visit to Ukraine on July 20-21. The program of the visit envisages negotiations with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, which will be held in a 'one-on-one' format and with the delegations present," the report said.
The presidents will discuss the development of political, trade-economic and humanitarian cooperation between Belarus and Ukraine.The meeting will address the settlement of the conflict in eastern Ukraine, in which Minsk is actively involved by providing a negotiation venue for the parties involved in the process.
Lukashenko and Poroshenko will discuss the general situation in the region and will exchange opinions on international issues.
A number of documents on economic and technological cooperation and in the spheres of culture and ethic relations will be signed following the negotiations in the presence of the leaders of the two countries.
