UAH 3.5 million were deducted from the salaries of people's deputies for absence at meetings of the Verkhovna Rada.
It is reported by the Committee of Voters of Ukraine.
As stated in the report, for 7 months of 2017, 3.5 million UAH were deducted from the salaries of people's deputies for their absense at plenary sessions of the Verkhovna Rada.
"Due to the payment of wages only for actually worked days, for seven months of 2017, savings were made in payment of wages to people's deputies of Ukraine, in the amount of UAH 3 549 074," the report said.
According to the Committee of Voters of Ukraine (CVU), only 45 deputies were present at all sessions of the Verkhovna Rada during 6 sessions (until July 11). The rest, 377 deputies, missed one or several parliamentary sessions and, accordingly, did not receive a portion of their wages.
It should be noted that in the CVU the attention is drawn to another indicator, which is not less, but perhaps more important, than the presence of deputies in the Council. This is how people take part in the voting. Thus, 48 deputies missed more than 90% of parliamentary voting during the VR session.
