Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin and his Romanian counterpart Teodor Viorel Melescanu will hold a meeting in Chernivtsi onJanuary 11, the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has reported.
"The foreign ministers plan to discuss a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation at the interstate and regional levels. It is expected that the ministers will also discuss the educational rights of the Romanian national minority and the implementation of the provisions of the new law of Ukraine on education, taking into account the conclusions of the Venice Commission," reads the report.
According to the press service of the Ukrainian Education and Science Ministry, on the same day, Education Minister Lilia Hrynevych will make a working visit to Chernivtsi region.
The report notes that a new school in the village of Yordaneshty, Chernivtsi region, will be opened with the participation of Hrynevych, Klimkin, Melescanu, and the local executive authorities.
