Yatseniuk points out record number of National Police recruits

The average ratio of candidates was 20 for one position, Yatseniuk said in Poltava on Wednesday. Yatseniuk said that the salaries of the new police officers will amount to UAH 8,000-10,000. He reiterated that the whole law enforcement system is being reformed, and that while there have been cutbacks, not a single employee of the Interior Minister has been thrown out onto the streets. "Every one of you [new recruits] can pass the tests and become a member of the new police," Yatseniuk added.
