The BBC has reported that U.S. District Judge Kimba Wood said that Tymoshenko failed to show enough proof that Firtash and the other defendants were involved in money laundering on U.S. territory. The claimant said that money was used to issue bribes to support the then candidate for Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych. At present, Firtash, who is accused of paying $18 million in bribes to Indian officials to rights to mine titanium fields in India, remains in Austria with travel restrictions.
